Fixed and Removable Partial Dentures:
A removable partial denture is a prosthetic device containing artificial teeth supported on a framework and attached to natural teeth with retainers and rests, removable by patient for cleaning.

A fixed partial denture is a prosthetic device that replaces one or more missing teeth, which is cemented, attached, or implanted to the space next to the missing tooth or teeth. This is not removable by the patient.
